F.A.Q.

What type of finish is used for new furniture?

  1. Single-component for interiors, for products that are not subjected to particular wear (e.g. bookcases, wall units, cupboards);
  2. Two-component for interiors, for frequently used products (e.g. tables, desks, sink tops, beds);
  3. Single-component outdoor, for everything that will be exposed to the weather;
  4. Outdoor hydro oil, used as an alternative to single-component outdoor oil with better features in terms of maintenance.

For restored pieces you can use shellac, wax or straw-coloured oil if you want to remain faithful to the original, or you can use the same finishes as for new furniture, it depends on the case.

Can I use other materials besides wood for the same piece of furniture?

Of course. Iron, steel, glass and epoxy resin are commonly used.

What size can a piece of furniture reach?

It depends on the length of the boards, but with the right manufacturing techniques we can say that there are no size limits.

How do I clean indoor furniture?

A simple cloth dampened with water is enough to remove dust.
Never use acidic or alcoholic substances, nor scratch the surface.

Is it a photo/video enough to show you where I want to place a piece of furniture and choose the wood colour?

It would always be better to do an inspection. Photos and videos don’t give a good idea of the environment and I will most likely have to take measurements.

I have a project/idea in my mind but I don’t know how to develop it, can we do it together?

Of course, I am always available to help customers developping their project as they wish, giving advice and looking for solutions.

I have a dead tree that needs to be cut down from my property, can I do something with it?

If it is dry and not rotten almost certainly you can. If you already have some old wooden planks in your garage you can use those too. If, however, you have to cut down a living plant you will have to cut it into planks (I can take care of it) and wait for the wood to dry before you can use it.

Do you also do restoration? I have a piece of furniture but I would like to change its colour, is this possible?

Certainly! We will see how to proceed depending on the piece of furniture.
